Summer, 2008

Dear Parents,

Greetings, in the name of Jesus, our Savior.

Summer is in full bloom and it seems harsh to look forward to the fall and the beginning of classes at St. Peter's, but it is important to keep you informed about things happening at school.

Attached you will find the school year calendar and supply list for the grades. Please note the August 28 date on the calendar. This is Orientation Night from 6:30 - 8:30pm. At this time ALL are invited to meet the teachers, fill lockers and desks, and receive your Family Handbook The First Day of Classes is September 3. Please note the extended Columbus Day weekend. This will allow our teachers to attend a Teachers' Conference.

There are few staff changes. Mrs. Carole Marra will have Art lessons once a week and we are currently conducting interviews with excellent candidates for teaching Music.

Grade 5 will combine with grade 6 and grade 7 combine with grade 8 during the afternoons.

This is due to class sizes and teacher availability.

As always; Coaches are needed for Soccer, 4,5,6 Basketball(girls and boys), 6,7,8 Basketball (girls and boys), Cheerleading and Volleyball. If you wish to coach, please call the office.

The Board of Parish Education would like to welcome everyone and send their wishes for a productive and wonderful year as we work in concert for our children. You should be aware of Board members. They are:
